Kearsarge Fire Department, located in the southeastern portion of Millcreek Township, provides Fire Suppression, Rescue, BLS Emergency Medicine, and Fire Prevention for Millcreek Township and surrounding townships. Kearsarge Fire Department provides mutual aid to all 4 Millcreek Fire Departments, Millcreek Paramedic Service, Kuhl Hose Company (Greene Township), Perry Hi-Way Hose Company (Summit Township), McKean Hose Company, Edinboro Fire Department, and the City of Erie Fire Department. 06/28/08 - Kearsarge and MPS were dispatched to Washington and 54th for a MVA. Millcreek Police and WRFD Chief 461 (Christiansen) arrived reporting 2 vehicles moderate damage with one rollover.
06/24/08 - Kearsarge and MPS were dispatched to Kuntz and Glade for a MVA. Kearsarge L9 (Parker) arrived reporting 2 vehicles moderate damage.
06/07/08 - Kearsarge along with MPS were dispatched to the intersection of Zuck and W. Grandview for a MVA.
05/21/08 - Kearsarge and MPS were dispatched to Kuntz and Washington for a two vehicle MVA.
05/20/08 - Kearsarge was alerted to a brush fire behind a residence on Devon Lane.
BASIC VEHICLE RESCUE - OPERATIONS
04/19/08 - Several members from Kearsarge participated in the BVR Operations class this weekend.
04/18/08 - Kearsarge and MPS were dispatched to Young and Pilgrim for a 2 vehicle MVA.
04/15/08 - Kearsarge staffed one engine and one truck to honor Lawrence Park Deputy Chief Michael Crotty. Chief Crotty answered his last alarm while operating as command officer at the Port Erie Plastics fire.
STRUCTURE FIRE ASSIST HARBORCREEK - PORT ERIE PLASTICS
04/08/08 - Kearsarge was dispatched for a one engine transfer assignment to Belle Valley. Engine 443 responded with 4 firefighters. Engine 443 was redispatched to the fire grounds at Port Erie Plastics. Engine 443 crew assisted with fire ground operations at the all hands incident. Station 44 also manned a crew for Tower 449 until 2030hrs.
KITCHEN FIRE -TREETOP DRIVE
03/06/08 - Kearsarge was dispatched to Granada Apartments for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Chief 440 (Nichols) arrived reporting nothing visible. Engine 442 arrived and found a small fire in the kitchen. Engine 443 responded and assisted with ventilation. All companies were available within 45 minutes. Millcreek Police are investigating.
