STRUCTURE FIRE - GIANT EAGLE

06/20/06 - Kearsarge was dispatched for Tower 449 to assist Perry Hiway for an investigation. Perry Hiway Chief 421 (Hayford) reported smoke showing and requested a 2nd alarm. Crews from Kearsarge, Perry Hiway, and McKean entered the structure and found the problem in the bakery. Crews had to dismantle the oven before extinguishment was completed. Truck crews from Kearsarge, West Ridge, and Perry Hiway  checked for extension in the attic space and roof. Kuhl Hose and Edinboro established RIT teams on Side's A and C/D of the structure. EMS including Kuhl Hose, Edinboro, Emergycare, and Millcreek Paramedics were located on Side A. Crews reported in service within 3 hours.
