Smoke in the Building - 5968 Jodie Lane, Apt. 7

11/29/08- Kearsarge, Belle Valley, Perry Hi-Way, and MPS were alerted to smoke in the building, possible structure fire around 1700 hours this evening. Chief 440 (Nichols) arrived on location reporting nothing visible from the exterior but smoke was present through out the structure. Engine 442 responded, upon arrival they evacuated the structure,  forced entry to the apartment, and determined the smoke to be from careless cooking on the stove. The smoking pot was removed and extinguished. Tower 30 and Engine 442 ventilated the structure with positive pressure ventilation. All companies were clear of the scene by 1800 hours.
