Structure Fire - 6001 Peach Street

08/27/09- Kearsarge was dispatched to assist Perry Hi-Way on a structure fire just after 1100 hours this morning. Tower 449 and Chief 441 (Burhenn) arrived on location at the same time as Engine 432 (PHHC) to find heavy smoke coming from the attic. T 449's crew split; crew 1 with Chief 441 made an interior attack, while crew 2 went to the roof for ventilation. After those tasks were completed both crews went to rehab then assisted interior crews with salvage and over hall. Crews operated on scene for approximately 2 hours. The kitchen and attic sustained heavy damage while the rest of the structure sustained water and smoke damage. The fire is currently under investigation.
