Structure Fire - 1809 Treetop Drive
03/28/09- Kearsarge was alerted to a multi-residential apartment complex structure fire in their first due late this evening. At 22:32 hours companies were dispatched to 1809 Treetop Drive for a structure fire. Initial calls reported fire through the roof with possible entrapment. Chief 450 (Davis) arrived on location, assumed command, reported a working fire, and requested a 2nd alarm. Engine Company 442 arrived and assisted with evacuation and started interior fire suppression. Crews rescued victims trapped in there residence. All parties made it out of the structure safely. At 23:07, command ordered an evacuation of all companies due to the building becoming unstable. At this time a 3rd alarm was struck and all operations went defensive. Elevated master streams were provided by Tower Ladders 449, 369, and 479. Crews contained the fire to the initial fire building. The fire was ruled under control at 02:29 hours, however crews were still extinguishing hotspots. Mutual aid was put in-service around 0430 hours. All Kearsarge companies were clear of the scene by 17:33 hours. The fire has been said to be a total loss and is currently under investigation.
