Brush Fire

11/13/2011 - Around 0530, Kearsarge was dispatched for a brush fire in the woods behind the Granada Apartments. Engine 442 arrived and found a large brush fire a few hundred yards back. Chiefs 450, 441, and Engine 442 made up the command structure. Due to a large amount of fire and 20+ mph wind gusts, mutual aid from 48, 38, 36, 52, 14, 68, 50, 56, 22, 42, 40, 30 and 26 were called. The American Red Cross, WRFD Auxiliary and KHC Rehab were on scene to setup rehab operations. MPS stood by in case EMS was needed. A big thank you to all who were there to help!
