2227 Edinboro Rd House Fire 2010

07/11/10 - Kearsarge was dispatched for a house fire just before 1800 hours this afternoon. Initial reports were of a fully involved dwelling fire. MPS arrived and confirmed this size up. Engine 442 arrived and stretched 200' of 2.5" suppression hose and attacked the fire from the exterior. WRFD Engine 472 arrived and pulled additional 1.75" suppression hose to back up the first in crew. After an initial knockdown, engine crews advanced into the structure for extinguishment. Tower 449 was the truck company for this incident and crews were sent to the roof for vertical ventilation as crews were still working inside. Millcreek Police are investigating. Mutual Aid was given by West Ridge, Perry Hi-Way, Kuhl Hose, McKean, and Millcreek Paramedics. All crews were in service at 2115 hours.
