ASSIST BELLE VALLEY - FUHRMAN'S CIDER MILL
10/28/07 - A little before 8:30 p.m. this date, Kearsarge was requested by Belle Valley for 2 engines for a structure fire at Fuhrman's Cider Mill. First arriving units were met with heavy fire from the roof and rear of the structure. A second alarm was requested by BVFD Chief 360 (Semple). Engines 442 and 443 responded with crews of 5 each. Engine 442 arrived and was a primary suppression pumper staged on East Gore Rd. Engine 443 arrived and was assigned as the FAST team. Crews from Kearsarge were on location until 2:00 a.m. Additional information regarding this incident is located at the Belle Valley Fire Department website. Apparatus from Kearsarge, Perry Hi-Way, Kuhl Hose, Brookside, Lawrence Park, Wesleyville, MPS, and Erie Fire were on scene. Numerous Millcreek and Erie County departments transferred for cover assignments.
