KFD OPEN HOUSE 2007

09/16/07 - The officers and membership of Kearsarge, along with mutual aid and community organizations, invited the community to our station to see demonstrations of what Kearsarge and mutual aid departments have to offer. Numerous community organizations were present and distributed general safety information to the public. Kearsarge demonstrated vehicle extrication and extinguishment techniques to all in attendance. Members of the Erie County Technical Rescue Task Force demonstrated some rappelling while Millcreek Police Officer Leone displayed the skills of his dog Miki. STAT MEDEVAC and Life Star helicopters made an appearance and were enjoyed by all. Community organizations in attendance today include Krispy Kreme donuts, PNC Bank, Millcreek Community Hospital, Pennsylvania State Police, United States Coast Guard, Shriner's Hospital, Erie County Technical Rescue Task Force, Fire Safety Smoke House, Erie County Dept of Health, and Millcreek Paramedic Service. Mutual aid departments in attendance today include Perry Hi-Way, Belle Valley, West Ridge, Lake Shore, Kuhl Hose, Erie County HAZMAT Team, Millcreek Paramedic Service, Millcreek Police, Life Star, and STAT MEDEVAC.
