Attic Fire

Kearsarge, Belle Valley, Perry Hi-Way, Kuhl Hose, and Millcreek Paramedics were dispatched this morning for a structure fire. Initial reports included that there was a fire in the attic and evacuation was complete. Chief 370 reported smoke showing and took command. Engine 442 arrived, secured a water supply, and stretched a hose line. Rescue 444 arrived and split their crew to assist with suppression and ventilation. 440 arrived and assumed command of the incident. Tower 369 arrived and assisted with overhaul. Engine 423 and 683 stood by on scene as backup line and RIT. Crews contained the fire to the attic area. Crews worked on scene for approximately 2 hours.
